Who We Are

Herb and Lynn have been married for 41 years. They are blessed with 3 adult children and 6 wonderful grandchildren.

Reflecting on this experience, they wish they had embarked on this path of transformation years sooner. That period was enlightening and profoundly formative for them, and they are truly grateful for the growth it has brought.


As they meet with you one on one, their heartfelt desire is that you, too, will experience God's immense love and know His transformative power in your life. Their goal is to walk alongside you and explore together the ways in which God is moving in and around you in your everyday life.

  • I believe God meets us in the ordinary moments of life as well as in seasons of joy, uncertainty, and transition. It is a privilege to come alongside others as they listen for His voice and discover His loving presence in their own unique journey.

    After retiring in 2024 following 22 years as Office Manager at Peace Portal Counselling Centre, I have devoted more time to the ministry of spiritual direction, retreat leadership, and ongoing formation.

    I received my Certificate in Spiritual Direction through Emmaus Formation Centre. Since then, I have continued to deepen my formation by participating in the three-year Spiritual Direction Learning Community and completing the nine-month Ignatian Spiritual Exercises.

    When I'm not meeting with directees, you'll often find me enjoying a walk along the beach or through a forest trail, sharing a good cup of coffee with a friend, or spending time with Herb, our three adult children, and six wonderful grandchildren. These ordinary moments continue to remind me of God's faithful presence and grace.

    As a spiritual director, my desire is to offer a welcoming, prayerful, and confidential space where you can slow down, become attentive to God's presence, and notice how He is inviting you to deeper freedom, healing, and transformation. Rooted in the Ignatian tradition, my approach may include practices such as Lectio Divina, Gospel Contemplation, imaginative prayer, silence, and gentle spiritual discernment, always guided by the unique movement of the Holy Spirit in your life.

    In addition to offering spiritual direction, Herb and I lead contemplative retreats that create space for rest, reflection, and deeper encounter with God. I also serve on the Executive of the Emmaus Society of Spiritual Directors and am currently completing the Spiritual Direction Supervision Training Program through Spiritual Directors International under the guidance of Lucy Abbott Tucker. This ongoing formation reflects my commitment to serving others with humility, wisdom, and integrity.

    Whether you are longing to deepen your relationship with God, navigating a life transition, discerning an important decision, or simply desiring intentional space to notice God's presence, I would be honoured to accompany you on your journey.

     

  • Lynn and I enjoy a wonderful partnership and love of life. Over the past 41 years, we have navigated many of life’s inevitable ups and downs together, benefited from many familial and spiritual relationships, and grown in our love of God.

    I am a lifelong learner with diverse career experiences in risk management, serving as a financial advisor, managing assets for a charity, and engaging in electrical safety consulting.

    Nature’s beauty is very special to me, especially when I see stunning vistas of mountains, water, sky and forests - they uplift my soul. Building meaningful relationships and engaging in honest, sincere interactions with others brings me a great deal of joy.

    Lynn and I have increasingly sensed God’s call to enter deeper waters, to be bold and unfettered, and follow His leading into new areas. Life, with its joys and hardships, loves and losses is an unfolding journey. We consider it a privilege to walk this path with true spiritual friends.
